Painting Backstory:

I painted this over Easter weekend while visiting my husband’s family farm. It was only about a month and a half after my mom passed, so I was in a really strange headspace. At one point I stepped outside to get some air and watch the sunset, and one of the cows walked right up to me. I snapped a photo of that moment and painted the scene later that night. It became a small reminder that even in hard or confusing seasons, unexpected moments can still feel grounding.
