"Free With The Dragonflies" - Art Print

I painted this piece the day after my mom died. It came from a really raw place, where everything still felt unreal, and painting was the only way I knew how to sit with what I was feeling. Dragonflies felt right in that moment. Much like them, she is now free.

This painting was inspired by one of my favorite memories with her. I took her to the ocean, and it was the first time she had ever experienced it. She ran straight into the waves like a kid, laughing and completely carefree. It was the happiest I had ever seen her, and that memory stayed with me while I painted this.
